Here's what you need to know about me so far:
- I joined my local gym in October of 2013
- I have a trainer who I train with 3 times a week since I started the gym
- I am having a difficult time losing fat so I started seeing a naturopath
- I have tried many different diets however none of them have worked
- And of course, I LOVE FOOD!
So now that you're caught up, here's what I am doing at the present to try to lose the fat.
Like I mentioned above, I am seeing a trainer three times a week. I also go to the gym to do cardio on my own twice a week. With my trainer we usually do weights, I can now deadlift 150lbs! Amazing right? Considering when I started in October I was only lifting 40lbs. My muscle strength has come a long way but my main goal when I started was to lose weight.
When I am on my own for my two cardio days I like to do 20 minutes on the bike and then 10 minutes on the stair machine.
My trainer told me this week I should start doing 45 minutes on any machine, 20 minutes doing intervals and 25 minutes doing just one speed.
Also, I am now starting a new diet called the Ketogenic Diet. This involves eating very low carb, high fat foods. I am in the process of researching what type of food I can eat with these restrictions. Any suggestions are welcome!
